As basketball season fades, the HBCU football machine is set to crank up. Players from Maryland to Florida and through the MEAC and SWAC regions have been the practice fields and are prepping for their Spring games.

Here are all the spring game dates that have been previously reported:

A lot of eyes will be on Southern and new coach Marshall Faulk. The Jaguars kick off the schedule on April 4 with a spring showcase in Baton Rouge.

Florida A&M has a even game set for 6 p.m. April 3 under new coach Quinn Gray.

Howard, with Ted White in as the new head coach, will hold the Blue and White game on April 18 in Washington, D.C.

There will be a wave of games in the middle of the month on April 11 from the SWAC, MEAC, OVC and CAA teams from HBCU’s.

Jackson State, the SWAC East champion, gets things rolling at 12:30 p.m., followed by Texas Southern at 1 p.m. North Carolina A&T also at 1 p.m. Alcorn State and North Carolina Central each take the field at 2 p.m. In comparison, Alabama A&M follows at 3 p.m. Alabama State, HBCU national champion South Carolina State and Tennessee State are also slated for the same weekend, adding to the crowded spring calendar.
